Meg

Meg means meadow in Greenlandic, and here it is our wool jacket. It all starts with the material. This one is a luxurious blend of virgin wool and cashmere, woven in a herringbone pattern and sourced from Italian deadstock warehouses. As a small manufacturer, we would never normally have access to this fabric gem.

The jacket is the crown jewel of the entire tailoring craft. It is carefully crafted down to the last detail. It is reinforced with bonding on the inside, has sewn-in shoulder pads, and a slim waist with darts. It features slanted pockets with stitched flaps and a center back vent. The entire jacket is lined with high-quality viscose lining. Although the jacket is a classic piece, we played around with its shape: ours is double-breasted with a smooth lapel.

Due to its complexity, Meg has a long story behind it, at the end of which is a strictly limited number of pieces of our first jackets.

Wool from sheep, sheep fleece has excellent properties, it is elastic, hygroscopic (moisture can hold up to 40% of its weight without being damp to the touch), it is breathable, pleasant to the touch, warms in cold and wet weather, in hot weather it cools. Different breeds of sheep have different lengths and finenesses of fibre and different colours; the thickness of the fibre varies according to breed, sex and age of the sheep, and the quality of the fibre is also influenced by nutrition or climatic conditions. Females and young sheep have better quality wool.
